Nominations galore for Merlin Venues this award season

Merlin Venues has received incredible recognition so far this awards season by securing a spread of nominations for the shortlist across their portfolio of world-famous venues. This includes recognition by the London Venue Awards and Prestige Magazine’s COOL Venue Awards.
After a year of dedication and hard work, the acknowledgements are well earned and staff throughout the venues are now eager to hear final results once announced. Over the last twelve months, the venues have been full of some of the most exciting events they’ve ever seen while large internal changes have been undertaken by the company, and so, it’s gratifying that 2019 has already seen such significant recognition for the venue portfolio.
Their shortlist nominations include:
London Venue Awards
- Madame Tussauds London – Best Event Venue, 500 – 1000 attendees
- The Coca-Cola London Eye – Best Venue with a View, up to 400 reception style
- SEA LIFE London Aquarium – Most Unique or Unusual Venue, over 250 reception style
- The London Dungeons – Most Unique or Unusual Venue, under 250 reception style
The COOL Venue Awards
- The Coca-Cola London Eye – COOLest Venue in London
- Southbank Venues (which the London Eye is a part of) – COOLest Venue Portfolio
Now in its 5th year, the London Venue Awards is dedicated to recognising those London venues that offer the best settings and experiences to clients. They span all kinds of venues and locations no matter what types of events they’re suited to. The COOL Venue Awards, in its 12th year, is known for celebrating only the best venues in the industry. Winners are chosen with impartiality and without favouritism to ensure that the awards remain a true recognition of a job well done.
In their entry for Best Event Venue, 500 – 1000 attendees, Madame Tussauds highlighted their impressive suitability for large event as well as what a genuinely unique and memorable setting it is and the unbeatable service clients and guests receive from start to finish.
In SEA LIFE’s entry to the category for Most Unique or Unusual Venues (over 250 reception style), its status as the only underwater venue in the City was outlined as well as its surprising versatility for all kinds of clients and occasions. SEA LIFE also prides itself on its ability to innovate its event offering and the venue teams’ willingness to go above and beyond to create stand-out experiences for guests.
The London Eye’s entry for COOLest Venue in London focused on its unmatchable event offering, with no other venue able to offer the same view or for such a broad range of occasions. Its world-famous status definitely adds some street cred to any event and guarantees to impress guests every time.

Winners of the London Venue Awards will be revealed during the ceremony at The Hurlington Club on Friday 4th October, while the COOL Venue Award winners will be announced at the ceremony on Thursday 26th September 2019.
